Feeling 32!

Our oldest daughter turned 10 last month and we surprised her with tickets to the Taylor Swift concert for her birthday! I'd be lying if I said I wasn't just as excited! I really like Taylor Swift.     Having written songs for my kids and poetry and such it takes a lot of courage to throw out all your emotions for the world to hear.
Taylor is growing up though. You can definitely tell she is maturing in certain areas. Yet she was still pretty modest in comparison to other pop stars. She even at one point made sure her shirt was tucked in.
But back to Ava. Her eyes were gleaming with delight to see costumes and take pictures with posters. All in all I just loved experiencing the joy that was spilling out of her! We got there a little early so we could find our seats and look around.
She was so cute! Since we were at The Cowboys Stadium, Ava said Taylor should have marked through the "BLUE" with "RED" because it was her RED Tour. I thought that was pretty genius! Next time Taylor...
We went to an early dinner beforehand so we would have plenty of time for parking and walking. We were in our seats by 530pm, and the concert didn't start until 630pm. Needless to say we had some time on our hands. We walked around some more. We rushed back to our seats at 615pm. Then the first act came on. Austin Mahone. Ava wasnt very happy about about this dude. She even plugged her ears! Ha! "I came to hear Taylor!" she said.
I didn't realize there would be more than 2 acts, so that was a surprise to us both. Austin was over soon enough then  Florida Georgia Line came on. They were pretty good, then they sang a song we recognized, "Cruise". We enjoyed them. Everyone wants to be a rapper these days, I guess. Country shouldn't be mixed with rap, just weird to me.
Then in my opinion the highlight of the evening was Ed Sheeran! I've heard his songs, but never really knew it's just him up there doing his thing. Super talented dude! Guitars, mic, his voice and a loop machine. I don't know if that's what it's called, oh well. So Ed was finished, then we waited some more. I think they were waiting for the sun to completely go down, so it would be dark. So at 900pm, finally! Here comes Taylor!!!
(Finally!)

Taylor is seriously so cute! She just seems like a down home chick. I don't follow tabloids and the like so to me she still seems like a little girl who's growing into a woman and she's inviting us along through her songs.
Taylor really seems to enjoy herself up on stage and interacts with the crowd quite a bit. The crowd loves her!
We were up in the lower upper level right in front of the big screen! We had a great bird's eye view of everything.
As a mom, it was neat to look around and see all these girls enjoying themselves. Singing at the top of their lungs right along with Taylor. I tried sneeking a few candid pics of Ava watching Taylor. But after she caught me she said, "No more paparazzi!" Ugh, ok.
I'm so glad I was able to take Ava to her first big concert, it was certainly the biggest concert I've ever been to! We had a lot of fun and enjoyed everything around us. I will always remember this time, I hope Ava will too!

Me and my baby girl we had so much fun! Making memories.
